Getting there: Drive Interstate 84 to Cascade Locks, crossing over the river on
Bridge of the Gods. Turn right on Highway 14 for about six miles, then turn left at
Carson. Stay on this road for about 15 miles. The road curves sharply right, which
you will take (going straight ahead will take you to the trailhead for the south side
of the wilderness).
After about two more miles, turn left onto Dry Creek Road 64. This road is paved for
a while, then it turns to gravel. It is a little overgrown in some places. After six
miles, fork left onto Road 5800. This road has a few potholes. Drive two more miles,
always staying left at the forks, until you reach the trailhead on your left.
